Product Description and Application
Titanium-stabilized Incoloy 825 nickel-based alloy is a fully austenitic nickel-iron alloy with added copper and the rare metal molybdenum. In oxidizing and reducing environments, Incoloy 825 nickel-based alloy is resistant to strong acids and alkalis.
Compared to ordinary austenite, the nickel in the nickel-based alloy makes it resistant to chloride stress corrosion, while molybdenum and copper give it strong corrosion resistance in reducing environments.
Chromium and molybdenum components resist pitting corrosion from chlorides and corrosion in various oxidizing environments. Nickel can be added to make the material more stable during welding and less prone to sensitization. This non-sensitizing characteristic allows the material to resist intergranular corrosion even when exposed to sensitization temperatures.
